Elizabeth “Leigh” Garner, 42-year-old a former Tennessee Titans cheerleader from Murfreesboro, Nashville, is accused of inappropriately touching and soliciting a Murfreesboro preteen for sex.
Garner, of 806 Highland Park Court in Nashville, was indicted by a grand jury earlier this month on one count each of aggravated sexual battery and solicitation of a minor for child rape in reference to the incident.
During an interview the 12-year old boy said Garner was at his home during a partydrinking, and at some point late in the evening he went to use the restroom when Garner followed him, according to police. Boy told that Elizabeth Garner asked him if he had ever been with a woman. Garner also touched the young boy nappropriately, fonling him on the outside of his pants while making an attempt to take his shorts of. She also told the boy that she wanted to perform oral sex on him. The boy told he became frightened of the drunk woman making adavantage on him and was able to get out of the bathroom.
When questioned by police, Garner told she was drunk on the evening of the incident and got the boy “‘confused with a man that was also at the residence,’” according to the report.
After the Rutherford County Grand Jury indicted Garner earlier this month, detectives went to Nashville where they picked up the woman. She was transported back to Murfreesboro and taken to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center.
When Elizabeth Garner joined the Titans cheerleading squad in 2008, she was hailed as a 38-year-old able to compete with women more than a decade younger. She is no longer with the team.
